Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified and passionate Social Science Teacher to handle primary & secondary classes in a CBSE-affiliated school. The ideal candidate will possess strong language skills, proven classroom management abilities, and a thorough understanding of CBSE curriculum requirements.

Job Role and Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Social Science lessons (History, Geography, Civics) in alignment with the CBSE syllabus.
• Develop and implement lesson plans, teaching aids, and assessment tools that promote critical thinking and understanding of social, political, and economic concepts.
• Maintain accurate records of students’ academic progress and provide regular feedback to students and parents.
• Conduct classroom assessments, periodic tests, and prepare students for board examinations.
• Create a positive learning environment that encourages student participation and inquiry-based learning.
• Integrate ICT tools and creative teaching methods to make learning interactive and effective.
• Participate actively in school events, parent-teacher meetings, staff meetings, and professional development programs.
• Ensure discipline and uphold the values and ethos of the institution.
• Collaborate with other teachers and school administration for curriculum planning and co-curricular activities.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in History / Geography / Political Science /MSW.
• B.Ed. (mandatory, as per CBSE norms).
• Minimum 01–05 years of teaching experience in CBSE school preferred.
• Primary: candidates should handle primary classes.
• Secondary: Candidates should handle 6th to 10th in CBSE syllabus.
• Strong communication skills in English (spoken and written)
• Ability to motivate and inspire students.
• Familiarity with CBSE examination pattern and evaluation process.
