Cogniwell Pharmaceuticals is a growing pharmaceutical company with a strong presence across multiple Indian states, focused on ethical promotion, consistent quality, and long-term relationships with doctors, chemists, and distributors. We are expanding our field sales team in Bengaluru and are looking for committed, ground-level professionals who are ready to grow with the organization.
Role Overview
The Field Sales / Medical Representative will be responsible for promoting Cogniwell’s pharmaceutical products by regularly meeting doctors, chemists, and distributors in assigned territories. This is a pure field role, requiring daily travel, discipline, and consistent execution.
This position is ideal for candidates who are self-driven, field-oriented, and looking to build a stable career in pharmaceutical sales.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Promotion
- Regular visits to doctors, chemists, and hospitals as per assigned route plans
- Promotion of assigned pharmaceutical brands and formulations
- Generation of prescriptions and demand creation
- Ensuring consistent product visibility and recall
Territory Management
- Planning and executing daily field routes efficiently
- Developing and maintaining relationships with doctors and chemists
- Understanding territory potential and competitor activity
- Achieving assigned sales targets for the territory
Distributor & Stockist Coordination
- Coordinating with distributors for order placement and stock availability
- Following up on secondary sales and product movement
- Supporting collection follow-ups as per company process (where applicable)
Reporting & Compliance
- Maintaining daily call reports and basic sales records
- Sharing market feedback, doctor feedback, and competitor inputs
- Adhering strictly to company policies, ethical guidelines, and SOPs
Eligibility Criteria
Mandatory Requirements
- Willingness to work in a full-time field role (Monday–Saturday)
- Must own a two-wheeler and be comfortable with daily travel
- Experience in pharmaceutical field sales preferred
- Familiarity with Bengaluru local areas is an advantage
- Ability to join within 30 days preferred
Experience
- Preferred: 2–8 years of experience in pharma field sales
- Freshers with strong intent and field readiness may be considered (role-dependent)
Skills & Competencies
- Good communication skills (English not mandatory; clarity is important)
- Ability to build professional relationships with doctors and chemists
- Discipline, punctuality, and consistency in field execution
- Willingness to learn products and follow processes
- Honest, ethical approach to sales
What This Role Is NOT
- Not an office job
- Not a tele-calling or desk-based sales role
- Not suitable for candidates unwilling to travel daily
- Not suitable for candidates looking for fixed working hours only
