Description & Requirements

The Loan Disbursement Officer is responsible for managing the end-to-end loan disbursement process — ensuring all pre-disbursement checks, documentation, and approvals are in place. The role involves coordinating with credit, legal, and operations teams to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant loan disbursements to customers.

Responsibilities

  • Loan Processing & Disbursement
  • Verify loan sanction terms, conditions, and supporting documents before disbursement.
  • Prepare and process disbursement entries in the loan management system (LMS).
  • Ensure accurate calculation of loan amounts, deductions, and charges as per policy.
  • Coordinate with accounts/finance teams for fund transfer to customers or vendors.
  • Documentation & Compliance
  • Check completeness and validity of KYC, legal, and collateral documents before disbursement.
  • Ensure all pre-disbursement conditions (PDCs) are fulfilled.
  • Maintain proper documentation and records in both physical and digital form.
  • Adhere to internal credit policies, RBI/NBFC guidelines, and audit standards.
  • Coordination & Communication
  • Liaise with credit, risk, legal, and sales teams for disbursement approvals.
  • Resolve discrepancies or queries related to customer details or document verification.
  • Update sales and branch teams on disbursement status and timelines.
  • Reporting & Record Management
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly disbursement reports.
  • Track pending disbursements and escalate delays for resolution.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary records.

Requirements

  • Education: Graduate / Postgraduate in Commerce, Finance, or related field.
  • Experience: 2 -3 years of experience in loan operations, credit processing, or disbursement (Bank / NBFC / Fintech).
