Job Description
We are seeking a Single-Path ED Coder to accurately code facility and professional emergency department services within a unified workflow. The coder will assign ICD-10-CM, CPT/HCPCS, and E/M levels following CMS, AMA, and payer guidelines. Duties include reviewing provider and nursing documentation, diagnostics, medications, and treatments; applying NCCI/CCI edits; initiating physician queries; supporting audits; and meeting productivity and turnaround targets.
- Certification: CPC, CCS, CCS-P or equivalent required.
- Experience: 2–3 years of ED facility and professional coding.
- Skills: strong ICD-10, CPT/HCPCS, ED E/M and critical care knowledge; familiarity with EHRs (Epic, Cerner, Meditech).
