Job Title: APAC Aladdin Support

Role Description

The APAC Aladdin Support role is responsible for providing support for portfolio managers, traders using BlackRock Solutions (BRS)’s Aladdin. This role ensures that APAC Aladdin users can fully leverage Aladdin for order management, trade execution, risk analytics, and compliance monitoring. The analyst will work closely with Aladdin users in Investment team, Operations and Compliance team, to resolve production issues coordinating with the vendor and DWS global Aladdin SMEs. Besides Aladdin support, the role periodically involves taking the lead on, or contributing to, various regional projects.

Your key responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary contact for DWS APAC portfolio managers, traders, operations and compliance users for all Aladdin-related inquiries, covering trading hours in APAC time zone.
  • Coordinate day-to-day issue solving in order management, trading workflows, compliance rules modules, working with BRS and DWS global Aladdin SMEs.
  • Support onboarding of portfolios and guide the setup needed for all Aladdin configurations, e.g. Portfolio setup, investment guidelines, trade executions and user access.
  • Liaise with local BRS Aladdin representatives to track enhancements and ensure service level.
  • Support interfaces between Aladdin and local fund accounting systems, working with the team members in charge of local fund accounting applications.
  • Partnering with DWS Aladdin SMEs from other regions regarding global Aladdin platform topics.
  • In addition to daily support responsibilities, the role leads or takes part in the various projects in the region.

Your skills and experience

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, computer science, engineering, or a related field.
  • More than five years of experience in asset management, trading support, order management system/execution management system, or investment technology.
  • Strong understanding of investment products (equities, fixed income, FX, derivatives).
  • Hands-on experience with Aladdin or similar order management platforms (Charles River, SimCorp, etc.).
  • Solid knowledge of trade lifecycle, risk analytics, and portfolio management workflows.
  • A strong service-oriented mindset with a willingness to assist others.
  • Proactive problem-solving; ability to think quickly under pressure.
  • Strong ownership and accountability for issues from start to finish.
  • Collaborative work style with cross-functional teams across Investment, IT, and Operations.
  • Clear communication with both technical teams and business users.

Preferred

  • Experience working directly with portfolio managers or traders.
  • Knowledge of operational control frameworks and change-management processes
  • General technical knowledge across key application areas, including databases, batch/job scheduling tools, and application release management.
  • Chinese language skills (speaking and reading) preferred.
