General Duty Assistant (GDA)
Job Description (JD)
The General Duty Assistant supports nursing and clinical teams by assisting patients with basic care needs and ensuring a clean, safe, and supportive care environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist patients with hygiene, feeding, and mobility
- Monitor and report basic vital signs
- Provide bedside support and comfort to patients
- Assist during routine procedures under supervision
- Transport patients and samples safely
- Maintain cleanliness of patient care areas

- Patient comfort and hygiene standards
- Timely assistance to nursing staff
- Accurate reporting of vital observations
