Position: Resident Female Yoga & Meditation Instructor(Freshers also can apply)
Location: Niramayam Heritage Ayurveda Hospital, Thrissur, Kerala
Type: Residential / Full-time (preferred)
About the Role
Niramayam Heritage Ayurveda Hospital is looking for a qualified female yoga instructor to conduct personalised yoga and meditation sessions for patients undergoing Ayurvedic treatments. The role focuses on supporting physical recovery, mental well-being, and overall healing through condition-specific yoga therapy.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily yoga and meditation sessions for in-house patients
- Design customised yoga therapy plans based on each patient’s medical condition and treatment protocol
- Work closely with Ayurveda doctors and therapists to understand patient needs and contraindications
- Guide patients in:
- Gentle therapeutic yoga
- Pranayama (breathing techniques)
- Relaxation and meditation practices
- Modify practices for patients with conditions such as:
- Arthritis & joint issues
- Back pain & spinal disorders
- Stress, anxiety, insomnia
- Lifestyle disorders (diabetes, hypertension, obesity)
- Maintain basic records of patient sessions and progress
- Educate patients on simple practices they can continue after treatment
Candidate Requirements
Essential:
- Female instructor (as sessions may include female patients requiring comfort and cultural sensitivity)
- Certified Yoga Instructor / Yoga Therapist (minimum 200-hour certification; yoga therapy training preferred)
- Knowledge of therapeutic yoga and contraindications for medical conditions
- Calm, compassionate, and patient-centered approach
