Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION – MERCHANDISER – APPAREL

Role Purpose:

Assist in the smooth execution of garment orders by coordinating with factories, tracking production, and supporting quality checks.

Key Daily Tasks:

• PO Tracking:
• Keep record of all assigned purchase orders (POs) from start to finish.
• Update status daily in the master sheet tracker.
• Factory Coordination:
• Follow up with outsourced factories on cutting, sewing, finishing, and packing.
• Inform management immediately if there are delays or issues.
• Material & Trim Monitoring:
• Check availability of fabric, buttons, labels, and other trims.
• Notify management if anything is missing or delayed.
• Sample & Quality Support:
• Help QA team with basic quality checks or inspections at the factory.
• Track sample approvals and ensure they are documented.
• Documentation:
• Maintain digital copies of POs, tech packs, approvals, and QC reports.
• Make sure all records are accurate and up to date.
• Communication:
• Report daily production progress and any issues to management.
• Coordinate with the team to ensure smooth workflow.
• Miscellaneous Support:
• Assist with labeling, packing checks, and preparing dispatch documentation, making packing lists and ASN.
